2000 Volvo V70 XC

Domestically sold Volvo V70 Cross Country of the first generation! An unusual sighting today. This example has been driven approx. 152.000km, which is close to low mileage if you look at similar objects that can be found for sale. In total, the car has only had two users. The current owner has had the car as a hobby vehicle and tinkered with it a lot and spent a lot of money on parts to maintain the nice condition.

Equipped with Volvo's fantastic 2.4-liter turbo five of approx. 190hp/270nm coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. 0-100 is cut in approx. 8.5 seconds and a top speed of 220kmh. There is a BSR-tuning installed on the car today, and should give approx. 220-230hp. Sufficiently nimble for a family station wagon with good accessibility! 

Well equipped with, among other things, full leather, ACC, towbar and engine heater. As a fun curiosity, an Eriksson mobile phone with handsfree that the car was additionally equipped with on delivery is also included.

The exterior of the car is in good, usable condition. According to the current owner, there is a small dent at the bottom of the driver's door as well as a dent under the left fog light on the bumper. The car is described as rust-free and no major body repairs have been carried out. Scratches and stone chips appear on the car, even if it has been used more sparingly than other similar models. The left rear door and rear fender have been repainted on a previous occasion. The marks and remarks we found under the documentation are photographed and can be found under exterior among the pictures. The original rims come with approx. 7mm pattern depth.

The interior is also in good working condition. The seats have coped well with wear and tear during the car's almost 24 years on the road. No tears or holes, but less wear in the colour of the leather. Instrument panel and adjustment are all in good condition. Door sides have managed to avoid more annoying scratches from getting in and out. Inner ceiling is in good condition. All electronics work as intended in the car.

Mechanically, the car is in good working condition. Engine and gearbox are described by the current owner as in good condition with no noise or other remarks. Brake discs and pads are described as almost new. Mechanically, the car thus works as it should.

The car has been well looked after and the last oil service was carried out in November 2023. Previous service records are available. The car has been serviced at Bilia until 2022. In the meantime, the current owner has used it with, among other things, a renovated gimbal, bevel gear, rear shock absorbers and springs, front brake calipers and discs all around. The ABS box has also been renovated and some small things arranged with it. A simply well-preserved and cared-for specimen. Latest MOT carried out 2023-10-23.

A very nice example of the first generation Cross Country model with regard to the area of use. Most similar models are defunct with high mileage and plenty of rust. We therefore see this as an excellent chance to buy home a young timer which, with a little care, will soon be a classic collector's car.
