2008 Saab 9-3 Turbo X
Basic information and history
The SAAB 9-3 Turbo X was first shown at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show and was selected by SAAB to celebrate the brand's 30 years of turbocharged engines. The car was produced in a limited edition of only 2000 cars. 175 of these were sold in Sweden, and 600 in the states. The car only came in Jet Black paint with black full leather interior.
This Swedish-sold SAAB 9-3 Turbo X comes with a 2.8-liter supercharged V6 of approx. 280hp/400nm connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive from Haldex. The car has driven approx. 126500km and has had 8 previous owners. 0-100 is achieved in just under 6 seconds and the top speed is stated to be approx. 250km/h.
Equipment and options
The Turbo X model comes with model-specific details, including an orange boost pressure gauge needle inspired by the classic 900 Turbo and details in a carbon fiber look. In addition to this, also:
- UltraSport chassis (approx. 15mm lower than SAAB sports chassis)
- XWD with eLSD diff brake
- 18" rims specific to the model
- Electric chairs with memory
- Multifunction steering wheel with paddles and telephony
Condition
The car is described by the current owner as rust-free and that the paint has been renovated in 2023. Both rear screens have been replaced due to rust and painted from rear fender to A-pillar. The work is documented. There is a small stone chip on the windshield but nothing that disturbs. Details, moldings and emblems are in fine condition with no remarks. Normal wear is in the form of stone chips, small bumps and other things expected considering age, area of use and mileage. Lighting and its functions are without remark.
The interior of the car is in good used condition. Chairs have held up well and materials are in good condition. There is minor paint loss on the driver's side support, ie. normal wear and tear from stepping in and out. However, there are no cracks or damage in the material. Door sides have usual wear from stepping in and out. Interior roof is in good condition and sits where it should. Steering wheel and buttons are in good condition without wear. Instrument panel and controls as well.
Engine and gearbox are described by the current owner as being in good condition. Leaks have not been noted from the box or engine. Brakes are also described as good. Torque clutch for XWD has been replaced and gaskets, oil and filter in the rear axle have also been replaced. It comes with an ESID3 reader that can be used to unlock more functions in the car.

Last service was performed on 2023-06-22 at 119733km with Saab 3D original service. Previous service records are available and the service book is filled in according to the rules of the art. Last inspection/MOT took place on 2023-11-08.
