    Before an auction goes live, there is always the opportunity to place a so-called advance bid on all items. This is a binding bid and will be displayed in its total amount when the auction starts.

  • Can I inspect the car during the auction?

    You can always ask in the comments section if it's possible to come and view the car, but it is entirely up to the seller to grant a viewing. Note that buyers and sellers are prohibited from initiating separate negotiations on site as the item is handled exclusively by Bidders Highway during an ongoing auction.

  • How currencies work

    The currency in which fees are paid is determined by where an item has been accepted for sale. Items shipped within Sweden are valued, sold and paid for in Swedish Kronor (SEK). All additional fees for such items are in Swedish Kronor (SEK). The exchange rate quoted (e.g. Euro €) at the time of the auction is a current estimate and may vary depending on the time of sale.

  • How much does it cost to buy a car on Bidders Highway?

    The price you see when an auction is closed is the price the buyer pays the seller. In addition, the buyer pays a fee of 7.5% (VAT included) of the winning bid to Bidders Highway after the auction is closed. This fee is limited to a maximum of 75,000 SEK and a minimum of 5,000 SEK.

  • What happens if I don't want to go through with my purchase?

    All bids are binding. You must approve this in order to place a bid. This means that the winning bidder's bid fee will not be refunded even if they withdraw from the purchase. More about this in our general terms and conditions.

  • I live abroad and want to export the car.

    For bidders outside Sweden, we recommend that you check the import rules that apply to your particular country. There you will also clearly see what documentation is needed from the seller of the car on Bidders Highway for the export to be possible.
