In the world of automotives, there are several affordable classics that hold up well in terms of the market, are appreciated by everyone and are fantastically pleasant to enjoy while being relatively easy to look after. The price range can certainly vary from suspiciously low to misleadingly high, but generally you get a nice copy for good money. Among these classics, the certain ones are the Porsche 911 and Mercedes-Benz SL models up to 2001.
Looking at similar examples in the world of motorcycles, most people would point to Honda's fantastic model range of CBs. The model was launched back in 1959 with the Benly CB92 Super Sports and the model are still being built today. The CB, especially the 750, had a huge influence on other manufacturers and set the standard for how a motorcycle should be built.
Going to a meet or similar event today without running into a Honda CB is rare. The model is perfect for those looking for a classic with uncomplicated ownership and a collector value that has stabilized in recent years.
Bidders Highway has received an amazing collection of no less than six Honda CBs!
The smallest one is a beautiful olive-green CB 350 Four from 1973, sold new in Sweden and in a well-maintained used condition. Next up, the updated CB 400 F which took over after the 350 was phased out. This example from 1975 has just been serviced and is ready to hit our roads once again.
In the slightly larger cubic class comes a CB 500 from 1972, which is also in nice used condition with a suitable patina from the years gone by. The CB 500 was appreciated by many as it is somewhat lighter than its larger siblings in the 750cc-class.
Last but not least, we have three CB 750s from the years 1973 to 1977. The first of these is a gold-coloured CB 750 K2 previously renovated and slightly improved by the current owner. Next we have a 1975 CB 750 K2, also in gold, which has been restored to a very nice original condition and with a matching patina. Since the renovation, the bike has only been driven 2000km. This lovely collection ends with a 1977 Honda CB 750 K6 in unrestored original condition.
