1972 Honda CB 500 Four
Basic information and history
Domestically sold Honda CB 500 Four from 1972 in good used condition now being sold from a larger collection of Honda bikes. Over the years, the motorcycle has had 14 owners, but it is not possible to ascertain how many of these are actual users. The number of miles is at the time of writing approx. 58162km according to the odometer and the current owner has had the motorcycle in his collection since 2016. The Honda CB 500 became the solution as the CB 750 was considered to be a bit on the larger side and heavier than what customers were used to. The CB 500 was manufactured from scratch and the important ingredients that made the 750 CB so immensely popular, i.e. proper lights and front brake discs for increased safety as well as electric start and high build quality were still important. The result was a potent motorcycle that weighed a full 50kg less than its larger counterpart.
