1956 Hudson Metropolitan
First up in the collection is "the tiny car that made the big journey". This charming Hudson Metropolitan comes in exquisite condition. A perfect choice for those who want something unique from the colourful 50s! The gold interior is a piece of its own and a must to look at. The idea for the Metropolitan came after World War II when Nash needed to build a small fuel-efficient car. Because of their own limitations, help was sought on the other side of the Atlantic, and the British Motor Company stood up. The bodies were built in Birmingham by Fisher & Ludlow, sent to Cambridge where Austin finished building the car, then shipped it over to Nash in North America who sold it under both the Nash and Hudson brands.
1969 Saab Sonett II
In second place is a group 2-tuned SAAB Sonett II from 1969. A very interesting object for those looking for a unique car with a great driving experience! This tiny sun-yellow gem has returned home from the States back in 1993, and along its journey and previous renovation has received an exciting group-2 engine modification. With 105hp from 1.7-liter, with a weight of around 700kg, it is a fantastically exciting and playful driving experience! A total of only 1868 cars were built and this is number 1757.
1972 Volvo 1800ES
In third place is yet another exciting object, specifically a 1972 Volvo 1800ES. This car has also been in the States and has now found its way home to Sweden. Partially restored and in good used condition, it is an excellent example of the 1800ES for those who do not want to be afraid of using an over-restored vehicle. Perfect as a summer stroller with plenty of room for both the picnic basket and kids!
1988 Volvo 780 Bertone Coupé
Last but certainly not least comes a collaboration between Sweden and Italy. The end results? A Volvo 780 Coupé, designed by the prestigious design house Bertone and built by Volvo in Gothenburg. A comfortable luxury car that was ordered new by Volvo's company car fleet. Since it left Volvo, few owners have used the vehicle and the mileage has been kept low. Today, the odometer reads just under 85000 km and the condition reflects the milage well. The blue interior is unusual despite the approx. 8500 cars that were built. Like all Volvo 780s, comfort and safety are in focus. The car is perfect for those who want to drive prominently along Sweden’s beautiful country roads!
