Basic information and history

USA-imported Florida blau Volkswagen 1303 Beetle from 1979. This is the last model year of the Beetle and comes with both catalytic converter and direct injection. The car came to Sweden in 2016 from the USA where it spent its time in a museum and was also completely renovated. The car has 5 users according to the register and comes in a very nice condition.

Equipped with a 1.6-liter boxer four of approx. 60hp connected to a 4-speed manual gearbox and rear wheel drive.

Condition

The car comes in a very nice refurbished condition and the owner describes the body as being in top condition. There are no worse dents, scratches or door dents in the sheet metal. The car is of course also free from rust. During the renovation, the trunk was also painted. Windows are described as being in good condition. There are some minor spots in the chrome on the front indicators, otherwise fine. Inner ceiling is described as being in good condition. For a better look, the car has been given 15" steel rims that have been widened. The front tires measure 185x65x15 and the rear 205x60x15 respectively. The tread depth measures approx. 7mm at the front and 6mm at the rear.

The interior is in a very nice condition. Unfortunately, there is a tear in the driver's seat material. Instrument panel, cluster, steering wheel, buttons and controls in fine condition. Door sides as well. A stereo with the ability to play CDs has been installed. The trip meter is out of order but a used complete one is included.

Engine is described as being in good condition. Brakes as well. Mechanically, everything works fine with no noise or problems.

Service history

In 2022, the oil in the box and engine was changed. Previous service records are not available, but the fine renovated condition indicates a well-cared-for car. The last inspection was carried out on 2023-09-26 without any remarks.
