1990 Range Rover Classic
Basic Information & Background
Range Rover, a recognized name in the automotive world and synonymous in both off-road contexts but also in recent years as a luxury car. This model was amazingly produced between 1969 and 1996 and was given the name "Classic" in later years so as not to be confused with the then new P38 Range Rover.
This example is a sought-after 3-door model sold new in France and which was imported to Sweden in 2018 by the then Swedish owner who had also had it in France for a couple of years. It has had 3 previous owners and also featured in car reports (see pictures in documentation album) where the model but also this example was praised.
Condition
Exterior: The car is in good and honest used condition without major damage to the bodywork but with a couple of minor remarks on moldings, emblems, glass and some surface rust which is common for the model. The paintwork is in good condition and has been renovated by the previous owner. The original wheels are also in good condition without damage. For more info on exact condition, see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comments!
Interior. Just like the exterior, the interior is in good used condition, the seat upholstery and padding is in very good condition and has held up well over the years, as has the dashboard and panel. The steering wheel and gear lever show signs of use and the center armrest compartment is loose. The rear windscreen wiper does not work and the left front electric lift works but is, according to the seller, a bit sensitive. For more info on exact condition, see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comments!
Mechanical. The engine and drivetrain are in the same fine condition as the rest without major remarks and the car works well mechanically. There is a lot of documented history with most of the inspection reports, receipts and service. The car was newly inspected in July 2023 without any complaints and is also tax exempt. Noted is a very small leak from the radiator and a couple of minor cracks in the front light. Last service was performed in 2021 and previous service history/documentation/manuals are available. The tires have approx. 5mm tread depth and the car brakes straight and fine and has no complaints. For more info on exact condition, see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comments!
Summary
A real classic from England with a well-documented history and in good used condition. The market for these models has been stable in recent times and now shows a tendency to start to increase in the fine examples that are on the market. Finding a similar object in the same condition is difficult and this charming old SUV would work just as well as a farm car, daily driver or as the basis for a complete renovation!
