1991 Range Rover Restomod

This absolutely stunning Range Rover Vogue resto mod was commissioned by three-time LeMans winner André Lotterer and built to his desired spec by renowned Timeless Garage in Lisbon, Portugal. The car received a complete, so-called "body off, nuts and bolt restoration" where every single part is checked and restored. This restoration was carried out in 2020-2021.

The car that Timeless Garage set their teeth in on this case is a coveted Range Rover Classic 3.9L V8. All restoration is carefully documented. A metal owner's plaque with André Lotterer and a board with a design sketch of the car are included.

A so-called "backdate" has been carried out to achieve an older look with a matte black lacquered metal front with vertical valve intakes, a matte black lower "protection plate" in metal, black lacquered bumpers and a updated tank cap. New Blaupunkt retro stereo with Bluetooth and separate subwoofer is also installed.

Already in the 50s, thoughts and plans began for Rover to build a more user-friendly passenger car variant of the solid Land Rover all-terrain vehicle. It was not until 1966 that work began on the new vehicle, inspired by the success that Jeep and Ford, among others, had with their off-road capable passenger cars. In 1970, the first Land Rover was presented and was supposed to be the perfect vehicle for landowners, however it was soon seen that the interest in the model was also among city dwellers. Today, the Range Rover is more common in the city than in the country, and it is easy to understand the desire to drive one on a daily basis. A solid luxury car that can handle almost everything that both the practical family wagon and the raw off-roader do. In October 2021, the fifth generation Range Rover was introduced and the car is today a benchmark for all luxury SUVs.

The car can basically be regarded as new, and since the restoration it has been driven just under 3300 km. The body was lifted and disassembled, treated and repainted in "Porsche Sand Beige 1968". Minor wear is found on surface layers, interior and exterior. More or less all small marks and wear can be viewed on our photos of the vehicle.

New chassis is installed with, among other things, Fox shocks and Bilstein springs, new suspension and Wolf wheels with Cooper All-Terrain tires.

Completely renovated engine and mechanics with, among other things, a new sports exhaust system, new gearbox, drivetrain and differentials. New brakes, calipers and brake system. New electronics. Brand new, hand-stitched interior with, among other things, a leather-covered instrument panel with piano-lacquered details and seats and door sides in dark brown Connolly leather. Roof, carpets and tailgate covered in light brown wool.

All electronics and mechanics work as intended.

The car is completely unique and unparalleled. It is built to be used as a utility vehicle and can withstand being driven hard, but of course also fits well in a collection. It has also featured in several articles in the international press and on car forums around the world.

The car is currently parked at Timeless Garage in Lisbon, but shipping can be arranged immediately for potential buyers. This fee is not included in the price.
