Basic information and History
German-imported Mini Cooper John Cooper Works from 2006 with approx. 119,000km on the odometer, with good history and in good condition. The first owner in Germany sent a letter to the first owner in Sweden where he describes how the car was used. The import from Germany took place in 2018 and the car has had 6 owners in total, of which 4 in Sweden. This is a certified John Cooper Works model and comes with a large amount of equipment focused on driving experience. A real hot hatch in all its glory!
- Factory built and certified John Cooper Works!
- Maximum driving pleasure
- Supercharger, OZ rims, Recaro seats, LSD and more
This JCW comes with the early 210hp/245nm supercharged 1.6-litre engine connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive. The icing on the cake is the mechanical differential that makes sure you get all the power down into the asphalt! 0-100km/h is completed in 6.5 seconds and the top speed is stated to be 230km/h.
Equipment and Options
Equipped with certified John Cooper Works package from the factory. The package includes, among other things, sports seats in full leather from Recaro, better chassis, JCW Aero body kit and Limited Slip Differential. Standard equipment on the car is chili package, A/C, Harman Kardon system with AUX and opening panoramic roof. There is also a multifunction steering wheel with cruise control, electric mirrors and heated seats. A really well equipped copy!
Condition
The car is described by the current owner as being in very good working order. Remarks we have received information about include a door opening on the driver's door, clear coat wear on the rearview mirror on the passenger door and on the windshield wiper on the passenger side, as well as a normal amount of stone chips. The car is described as being free from rust and has been rustproofed on the undercarriage in 2020 and 2023. The current owner feels that the tailgate would need a repaint. In 2023, the bonnet was repainted due to stone chips and clear coat slips. The current owner has always hand-washed the car and ensured that it was polished and that ceramic paint protection was applied.
Window glass is in good condition but there is a stone chip that has been repaired on the windshield. Chrome, moldings and lamp glass are described as being in good condition. A set of folding rims are fitted, OZ Racing Ultraleggera in 17" with fresh Michelin Pilot Sport 4's. The tires have run approx. 5000km and are still in good condition. It comes with a set of original rims with winter tires on them. The pattern is described as good but the tires have some years on the neck.
The general condition of the interior is described as very good. There is a small but usual rub on the side supports of the front seats. However, no holes or torn material. Door panels are in good condition. Instrument panel, steering wheel, buttons and controls as well. All electronics in the passenger compartment work as intended.
Engine is described as being in very good condition and has not been modified. The gearbox and driveline are also described as being in very good condition. Brakes as well. Under the hood it's clean and tidy and the supercharged engine is adorned by a JCW placard with certificate number S12501.

Service history
The service book is stamped until 2018 and the mileage is 88061km. After that, it is serviced by the owner with an oil change every autumn. Cam chain and oil pump were changed in 2021 at 105570km. At the same time, a compressor service was also performed. There is a lot of documentation and receipts from service occasions. In autumn 2023, the oil and brake fluid were changed. Last inspection took place on 2023-04-25 and there are a couple of previous protocols.
Summary
Here you have an early and real John Cooper Works with the right engine and the right equipment! The model later got a turbo instead of a compressor and became, according to some, a less fun experience. This is the perfect car for those looking for a future youngtimer or just a superb hot hatch that has been praised for its playfulness!

Hi, Seller here, feel free to ask questions here and I’ll do my best to answer.
Hi! 1) "Rust-free"? :) 2) Why has the chain tensioner been switched twice over two years (2018 & 2020)? 3) Latest supercharger service? 4) Any interior rattles from the cabin? 5) Any chance to have a recorded sample of the engine running idle? 6) Since you have had it for some time, what would be the next three important mechanical things to look over? 7) Any run-offs on track days? Sorry for the tight deadline. Best, Bob
Hi, Will try to answer all questions: 1, no rust that I’ve seen except from the hatch that have some beginning rust, if I would have kept the car I would repaint it. The undercarriage is rustproofed last year and in very good nick. 2, changing the tensioner didn’t fix the problem as the guides were worn out. Hence the replacement of the chain in 2021. 3, SC was serviced in 2021 when the chain was replaced. 4, less rattles than usual (all r53s rattles😊) since I’ve added some sound deadening material and foam tape where the rattles were. 5, I’ll see what I can arrange. 6, nothing in particular but I would keep up the regular maintenance, upgrade brake pads and perhaps give the suspension an overhaul. I would address the few cosmetical issues on the body to get it mint. 7 Have not been raced hard and not crashed ether on track or on the road. I’ve tried it at an auto cross on an airfield and it was a blast but it’s better for quick B-road use with the original setup. I have another car for track duty.
Thanks! Sorry, I noticed the supercharger service was mentioned in the text. Has the clutch been overhauled in the cars lifetime?
No, still the original clutch. It works well but maybe need change within a couple of years.
A cold start video should be uploaded shortly.
