Basic information and History
Classic and desirable Mercedes-Benz SL 280 Pagoda in fantastic condition. Imported from Europe in the 80s and with 9 previous owners. The car has been completely renovated in the years 2015-2018 with wearing parts being replaced or renovated, new interior details, new paint, engine renovation and more.

Equipped with Merca's pleasant and smooth running M130 straight six, measuring 2.8 liters and approx. 170hp/240nm coupled to a manual 4-speed gearbox and rear-wheel drive.
Equipment and Options
During the renovation, the car received a new soft top and equipment that comes with the car includes a dark brown hard top and a fitted wind deflector. Otherwise there is a heating package and Blaupunkt stereo.
Condition
Completely renovated to a fantastic condition. The body was completely renovated over a period of three years and was completed in 2018. The car is of course rust- and damage-free and the paintwork is in excellent condition. No remarks on chrome, moldings or emblems. Original rims in good condition with tread depth of approx. 6 mm. No remarks on lighting or glass details.
The condition of the interior is reflected by the car's other great condition. Material on seating surfaces is in very good condition. Door sides as well. The dashboard and all controls look very good. On top of the instrument panel there are two minor damages that can most likely be glued up by a skilled interior technician. Wooden details are in very good condition as these were replaced during renovation. New carpets were also installed at the same time.
The engine has also been completely renovated while other work has been carried out. Receipt for engine renovation included. Pictures of work done on the engine can be seen in the picture album. Gearbox received new bushings in 2023. Stainless exhaust system is installed. Brakes are described as being in OK condition. Mechanically, of course, everything works as intended. Under the hood, it's very clean and tidy. No signs of leakage.

Hi, from which country was the car's original registration? How far back goes the documentation and how complete is it? Is the actual colour scheme the same as original?
Imported from Germany 1989. Documents available Go back approx. 25 years. Due to more than one owner it is hard to say how ”complete” they are. Color scheme is same as original (Weiss grau 158)
