Basic information and History
A very nice and Swedish-sold Mercedes 300 CE 24v with an unusually good history. Sold new at Philipssons in Gothenburg where the first company owner had it until 1998, after which it belonged to the same family until 2023 when the current owner bought it. A very well-equipped and well-documented W124 with great potential!
The coupé version of the W124 generation was produced between 1987-1996 and this one with the newer and stronger 24v engine between 1990-1993. Worth mentioning that the 24v engine could be paired with a 5-speed automatic gearbox unlike the others which had 4-speed automatic. A popular and sought-after model!
Previous owners have been careful to save papers and documents and of course also serviced and replaced necessary parts over the years. From 2002, the car was driven very sporadically and spent the majority of the time in a garage, but of course the maintenance was carried out just as before. Inside, the car feels like a time capsule back to the early 90s.

Condition
Exterior: The seller says that the car has been well taken care of and has very nice original solid black paint. The car presents itself well, but there are various minor stone chips/marks on the paint, however completely rust-free on the body. Interior: The interior appears to be in very good condition with a few remarks such as usual wear at the entrance and side support on the driver's seat as well as little evidence that the car has simply been used in the past. The seller says that all functions work as they should except for the AC which is not switched on due to a leak. Mechanics: The car runs very well in both engine and drivetrain. The silky smooth 3.0L six with 24v feels lively and strong and the 5-speed automatic gearbox shifts smoothly and nicely. The car is very well documented, well serviced and recently inspected without any comments in February 2023. The seller informs that the previous owner has also changed the majority of wear parts such as brakes, shock absorbers etc. over the years. Please see all pictures of all documentation in the album!
