KMAB
Göteborg
Basic information and history
Domestically sold and low-mileage Lotus Esprit Turbo SE from 1989 with only 43,507 km on the odometer! Painted in stunning Lotus Yellow combined with black leather interior with red stitching.
- Domestically sold Lotus Esprit Turbo SE
- Only 43507km guaranteed kilometres
- 1 of 103 1989 Turbo SEs built
Equipped with a Lotus 2.2-liter turbo four of 265hp/350nm connected to a 5-speed manual box, you manage 0-100 in, for its time, a fantastic 4.6 seconds. With a top speed of 260 km/h, the performance is sufficient, even by today's standards.
However, quite expensive for its time, when with simpler equipment it almost cost as much as a Porsche 911. That is perhaps the reason why the model is built in such small numbers. A total of approx. 10,675 Esprits were produced between the years 1976 to 2004. In 1989, only 103 Turbo models were built.

Condition
The car comes in a nice unrestored used condition considering its age and low mileage. Exteriorly, the paint is perceived to be in good working order. There are visible marks and minor damage, including minor paint scuffing on the edge of the sunroof, marks in the sheet metal from previous blinkers, minor marks on moldings and side spoilers and front. At the channel for brake cooling, the paint has cracked. The rims have minor marks on them. The tread depth of the tires is approx. 6 mm. Lighting comes without remark.
The interior has held up well. The black leather has signs of age but no serious damage. Door panels are in good condition, dashboard as well. Buttons and controls are in good condition and electrically everything works as intended. The A/C has been renovated and cools well. The wooden dashboard is in very good condition. The mats have survived the years well, probably due to the low mileage the car has driven.
Mechanically, the car is described as being in good condition. Gearbox, driveline and engine are without any noted leaks. Brakes are also described as being in good condition. The car was last inspected on 2023-09-05 with an approved result.
