1996 Land Rover Defender 90 300TDi

The Land Rover Defender is undoubtedly one of the best adventure vehicles out there. There are countless adventures around the world where the Defenders have been at the center and the model has crossed most, if not all, continents on Earth. With its short wheelbase and simple durable construction, the off-road properties are a fact.

This tastefully and partially restored Coniston green Land Rover Defender 90 300TDi was imported from Spain this year and came with a clean carfax report and original inspection documents confirming the car's odometer reading, approx. 240.000 km. Under the hood sits a 2.5-liter turbocharged diesel four of approx. 113hp/265nm connected to 5-speed manual box.

Factory options include the rare Coniston green paint with contrasting gloss white roof, a perfect combination for the vehicle, as well as sliding rear windows and heated rear window. Equipment in addition to this includes;

The condition of the vehicle is generally fine, despite its age and mileage. It is clear that when importing they were looking for a well maintained vehicle. No major renovations have been carried out on the body and of course there are some marks and dents all around, but nothing that affects the function. The car is also rust-free, which is quite uncommon for the model. Glass parts on the vehicle are in good condition. According to the current owner, the right side has been repainted due to scratches and dents. There are no remarks on chrome, moldings or emblems.

The interior of the car has been renovated with well-selected materials, including the precious wood steering wheel. Door panels and dashboard have received high-quality synthetic leather as an update. A modern stereo with four speakers and tweeters is also installed. The chairs have been covered in the same stylish brown synthetic material and the back in black. The fabric carpets in the car are also made of nice thick material. The luggage mat has been replaced with a factory new original mat. The only remark worth mentioning, considering the car and the area of use, is that there are stains and marks on the roof.

Engine and gearbox are described by the owner as working very well, brakes as well. Under the hood it looks nice, except for a little surface rust on the manifold. No leakage has been noted and the electrical and mechanical function is unremarkable. Tires and rims are also in good condition, and come with approx. 9mm pattern depth.

The car has been well looked after over the years and this is reflected in the condition. It has been driven in the Spanish hinterland and is completely free from rust. Last service was performed at 225.000 km by Alacarta Autos in Spain. The car then got new oils and filters. The car was last inspected on 2023-06-13 without any comments.
