Basic information and History

Ginetta G4 from 1965 in fully restored condition. The car underwent a complete renovation in 21-22. Has previously been in collection for 40 years.

  • Fantastic racing car, 1965 Ginetta G4
  • 1558cc Lotus Twincam
  • Ideal for, for example, historic racing

The Ginetta G4 was produced between 1961 and 1968. Ginetta was started by four brothers in 1958 and focused on building street legal racing cars. The Ginetta G4 is by far the brothers' most famous car. The original cars came with the 1-litre Ford spinner and many who bought the kit from Ginetta chose other engines as their power source. The most desirable G4 is precisely the one with the Lotus 1.6-litre Twincam engine.

Condition

The car underwent a total renovation in 2021-2022. All bad pipes in the chassis were replaced, the body renovated, new leather seats, new instruments, steering wheel, aluminium tanks, windshield, other windows, lights and more. Stainless exhaust system was also installed. There are no remarks on rims, tires, lighting, chrome, liters, emblems or anything else.

The Twincam engine from Lotus was refurbished in the same vein. It is today equipped with double Webers and connected to a four-speed gearbox. No leaks have been noted from the car.

The interior is neat, orderly and in top condition. There are no comments. All in all, the car can only be described as in excellent condition. Built as a new race car, as the current owner describes it.

Summary

Take the chance to acquire an absolute David among all the Goliaths in the world of historic racing. Small, agile and absolutely sharp in a race context, and even in a condition that is difficult to describe in words!
