Basic Information & Background
The E12 series from BMW has undoubtedly ended up in the "classic" category of cars, and very deservedly so, we think! The timeless design, the fine engines and the fantastic feeling behind the wheel have all contributed to this. Here we have a very low mileage Swedish sold example being sold by the only owner/user since the car was bought new in 1977. It is an extremely well maintained 1977 BMW 518 and is all original, never winter driven and only driven 55230 guaranteed km. The car has always been garaged and all documentation is available.
Condition
Exterior: Thanks to its very low miles which are also guaranteed by the seller, the car is still in very good condition with few remarks. The driver's door has been repainted in 1990 due to minor parking damage but would need to be redone as blisters have appeared in the sub-work (not rust). The original rims are also the ones in as close to new condition as you can get without remarks with nice tires with approx. 9mm pattern and there are no remarks on moldings or emblems. 2 small stone chips are noted in the windshield.

Interior. A very nice original interior in light brown cloth and brown carpet in very nice condition apart from a little discoloration in the headliner. There are no remarks otherwise inside and all the equipment works as if it left the factory yesterday. Mechanical. Engine and drivetrain are in the same fine condition as the rest without any remarks and the car works very well mechanically. Very well-documented history with most of the inspection reports where all are approved during inspection. Last inspection was in 2019 with no complaints. The tires have approx. 9mm tread depth, there are no remarks on lighting and no leaks noted. The last service was carried out in 2019 at Allanssons bil och mek and previous service records are available. Original service book and instruction manuals are available and also brakes are in good condition all around.
