BMW's third generation of the 3 series, the E36, was built between 1990 and 2000. The development started already 9 years earlier, in 1981 and the design was handled by Pinky Lai, known for having designed several models for both Ford and Porsche. The model first came in a 4-door sedan and was followed up with a combi, coupe, cabriolet and compact body.
The car has been praised for both its safety and driving pleasure. The American magazine Car & Driver has had the model up as a winner on several occasions during the model's manufacturing life. The 1993 British Touring Car Championship was won by Joachim Winkelhock driving a BMW E36. BMW was also the first in the world to win the 24-hour race with a diesel engine. It was done by a BMW 320D and the year of the win was 1998.

This BMW 328i coupé comes with a 2.8-liter straight six of approx. 190hp/280nm mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. 0-100 is completed in under 7 seconds and top speed is said to be approx. 240km/h. The vehicle was sold new in Germany and imported to Sweden in 2003. Since then, the car has had 8 previous owners. The car was in the same family from 2015 until 2023 and the current owner bought the car from his friend when he wanted something else. The odometer reads 160.410 km.

The car comes in a nice used condition with approx. 160.000 km on the odometer. The current owner describes that there are stone chips in the front, a small mark on one of the front fenders above the wheel, and on the molding on the front bumper. There is normal wear on the paintwork in the wheel arches, i.e. paint scraped off from normal use. The rims are in good condition with only minor marks. The tires are new and the tread depth is approx. 8 mm. Moldings and emblems are in good condition. Glass parts as well. The car is also described by the current owner as stainless. The car is otherwise freshly polished and waxed on the exterior.

The interior is in good used condition. The chairs have held up well from more wear and tear and the leather has recently received a treatment. However, normal age wear is present. The fabric in the inner door appears to have loosened slightly at the rear edge of the driver's door. Buttons and controls appear to be in good condition. Interior roof is in good condition and fits as it should. The gear knob has normal wear.

Mechanically, the car is described as being in very good condition. Engine and gearbox work as intended. Brakes are described as being in good condition. No leaks have been noted.

The car was serviced by the current owner for approx. a month ago. Previous service records are available. Last inspection/MOT was carried out on 2023-09-25.
