2014 Aston Martin Rapide S
Background & Information The Aston Martin Rapide was launched in 2010 and was based on the Aston Martin DB9 but with a lengthened chassis and 2 extra swan doors at the rear. The Rapid was built together in the same way as the other models, which meant a bonded chassis for extra torsional stiffness, which resulted in the Rapid becoming 10,000 nm more torsionally rigid in the chassis than a Ferrari 430. The car is incredibly easy to position when driving progressively. In 2013, Aston Martin launched the Rapide S, which meant an increase in power from 477 hp to 560 hp. The big 6.0L V12 gives off that distinctive sound that only Aston Martin can deliver. What characterizes the S model is the large open front. This example was sold new in Monaco and was taken home by Platinum Cars who sold the car to its current owner in 2016. The car has a full service history.
