Condition
Overall Condition:
The vehicle is in good shape for a Defender, but there are a few flaws to note. Some areas show paint peeling, including near the doors, ladder, and roof.
Body:
- Dent on the tailgate
- Dent on the left door
- Minor scratches on the front fender
- Oxidation due to the aluminum body
- Water drainage from the roof
- Small stone chip on the windshield, located behind the phone holder
- Slight rust on the wheels
Tires:
The off-road tires are in good condition.
Interior:
The interior is in good condition, though the mounting of the dashboard on the right side is broken. There is no damage to the seats. An old Garmin mount is attached to the front panel. The headliner is also in good condition, and all electronics are working as they should.
Climate Control:
The vehicle is equipped with an extra fan for both heating and cooling.
Engine and Transmission:
The engine is in good condition, and the gearbox functions well. When the car has been stationary, the clutch may make a slight noise, but this only occurs when shifting in and out of first gear at start-up. The brakes are in good condition, with disc brakes. No parts have been replaced under the current ownership.
Issues and Remarks:
A recently discovered issue is that the ABS and TC lights have illuminated a few times. It is assumed to be dirt near one of the ABS sensors, as the light usually turns off on its own or when the car is restarted. The ABS function was checked by Mekonomen in 2024, and no issues were noted during inspection.
Winch:
The installed winch is unfortunately not functioning as the motor is broken, but it works for static pulling.
Service History:
The current owner performed the latest service, including an oil change at 204,000 km and a coolant replacement. In 2024, the following components were also replaced: new radiator, sway arm, and rear shock absorbers. Documentation extends back to 2002. The most recent inspection was conducted on July 11, 2024.
