The racing machine NS400R has the right retro touch
If you're looking for something retro-cool, you can rarely go wrong with a Rothmans machine from "back in the day". In the 1980s and 1990s, when tobacco advertising was still allowed in motorsport, the blue cars and motorcycles of Formula 1 and the equivalent motorcycle series Grand Prix Roadracing (now MotoGP) were among the hottest things around.

The story behind the Honda NS400R is interesting. The motorcycle is a racing-oriented, two-stroke machine, based on the Grand Prix bike HRC NS500, ridden by world champion Freddie Spencer. On the outside, not much is different, except possibly the livery.
- Actually, it was an impulse purchase, says the seller of this awesome specimen, which is now up for auction. I have always liked two-strokes and have another one too, but the thing was... I had made a bid on it the one that the seller thought was too low. But he got so many strange responses when it was on listed "Blocket".
This example is believed to have been sold as new in Germany and has only had 5 previous owners in Sweden.
The strange ad responses led nowhere and the previous owner failed to get it sold. Then I thought I couldn't back down. So I bought it.
This object is a replica, that is, not one of the nearly 12,000 built between 1985 and 1987. Of these, most of the motorcycles – 7,361 pieces – were allocated to the Japanese market, and no more than 29 to the Swedish one, according to information. A rarity, to say the least.
- It's a rather odd ride, continues the seller. A three-cylinder two-stroke, and it existed only for a limited number of years. It was more like a dream ride when I was younger.
Part of the Rothmans Livery
The seller hopes that the item goes to someone who, like him, has had it as dream motorcycle.
- Or who likes two-strokes, he adds, and rounds off:dream motorcycle.
- I don't think there will be another motorcycle for me for a while. Now I have five pieces. I have more and more started riding track days, and then I have some everyday riding.
