Basic information and history

Swedish-sold 60s classic, Volvo PV 544 from 1965 which has been renovated by the current owner for many years. He bought the car in 2012 from an estate and the car was then a renovation object. Today, most of the car has been replaced and a total sum of over SEK 100,000 has been spent on the renovation. A number of receipts are included. In addition to this, an instruction book and workshop manual are also included. In total, the car has had 5 owners over the years, including the current one.

Equipped with B18A of approx. 75hp connected to a four-speed manual gearbox.

Condition

The condition of the bodywork is described as top condition. The body has been completely renovated both inside and out. The entire body has been epoxy-primed, sand-primed, varnished with intermediate sanding and then clear-coated. The paintwork is described as being in top condition and better than original. The windshield has been replaced with a new one with new rubber strips both front and back. Body has also been decorated with new American bumpers, new grill, new radiator with all hoses and faucet. Most of the car has been replaced. The door handles have some dents in them as new ones were not available during the renovation. Moldings and emblems in good condition. Headlights are new with new chrome rings. The rims, 5.5" wide with new white-wall tires in very good condition. Chrome center caps and nuts are also new.

During the renovation, the interior received new upholstery, new carpets and a new record in the hat shelf. The inner roof has been kept original and is in good condition apart from small defects towards the rear window. The steering wheel, controls and buttons are described as good and without damage. All functions in the passenger compartment work as they should.

Engine is described as running fine but has not been refurbished. The gearbox, on the other hand, has received new synchronizers and gaskets. The entire braking system is new. Tubes, drums, bands, wheel cylinders and master cylinder.

Service history

At the last service, the car received oil, filters, air filters, ignition cables, pins, switches, oils in the rear axle and gearbox, new hubs and all wheel bearings were changed. Last inspection took place on 2023-07-04.
