Basic information and history

Doemstically sold Volvo PV 444K from 1956 with few owners within the same family. In June 1956, the car was bought by the current owner's uncle, who owned it until the 70s. The car was then taken over by the remaining house, which, among other things, the current owner's grandmother was a part of. After the grandmother, the car was taken over by another uncle, to be finally inherited by the current owner in 2017. The car comes with, among other things, a roof rack, a new radiator hose, a few extra generators, a brake shield, and a few other things. The car also comes with a number of original documents, several inspection reports and own documentation about previous owners.

Equipped with 1.4-liter straight four of approx. 50hp connected to a 3-speed manual box.

Condition

The seller informs that the general condition of the body is of a surprisingly good standard. According to info, rust repair and painting were carried out in the 80s. The owner informs that there are some small blemishes and hints of rust blisters, including on a threshold and on one of the rear fenders. The body has survived well from dents and damage. Owner informs that there is probably welding at the fender mounts at the back and that the tank appears to have been replaced. The paint looks nice for its age and has stood the years well. Chrome and moldings in OK condition considering that the car is almost 70 years old. The rims have previously been painted in the car's color but have a worn surface. The tires have approx. 5-6mm pattern depth. It comes with four winter tires with good patterns, although old.

Interior in good working condition for the age of the car. Inner roof should be replaced and a new one and fabric strips are included with the car. Fabric strips should also be replaced. Original upholstery on the chairs. Various age wear is present in the cabin. The original steering wheel has a dry crack. All functions in the cabin work as intended.

Original engine that jerks slightly and has uneven running. The carburetor was changed in 2018 to a better used one. The old carburetor comes with the car. Two generators of unknown condition are included. Driveline and gearbox are without noise. Rear brake cylinders were changed in 2018. Brake shield on the left side should be changed to be able to adjust the brake. The brakes are approved by the inspection but take a bit of rocking, according to the owner. Mechanically everything works.

Service history

In addition to the above-mentioned things that were carried out in 2018, the rubber mounts for the engine were also changed. oil in the engine and brakes as well as a circular lubrication. Since then, the car has driven just under 500 km. The last inspection was carried out in 2018.
