Basic information and history
German imported Toyota MR2 2.0 Turbo from 1999 with low approx. 44000km on the odometer. According to information, the car had two owners in Germany before it was imported to Sweden in 2008. On Swedish soil, the car has only had one owner. The car was originally built and styled to market Pioneer in Germany, but the audio system has been removed. Modifications carried out include split rims from Blitz, interior in leather to match the paint and an impressive 3S-GTE from Celica, probably a "Carlos Sainz" edition of around 300hp. In 2012, the car was reg-inspected and SFRO inspected with a 200-horsepower, 2-liter turbo engine, but will accompany the car in case of possible sale, together with various new parts, including injection nozzles, rails, racing bearings, engine cover with water pump and fuel and ignition system Haltech Platinum Sport 1000 with more. Before installing the 3S-GTE engine, Toyota was consulted in 2015 for a certificate that this is okay, for thoughts about power, braking capacity and other things that are good to think about with increased power. The car was last inspected on 10/16/2023.

Equipped with a 2-liter turbo engine of approx. 300hp, linked manual box and rear wheel drive. The performance should be more than adequate, considering the car's approx. 1150kg in empty weight.
Condition
The general condition of the bodywork is described as very good. The body has good paint, no dents or rust. The paintwork is described as being in near new condition. Glass panes in good condition without remarks. Moldings, lampshades and emblems as well. The split rims are in very good condition and the tires fitted are brand new.
The interior is described as being in very good condition. The chairs have no damage to the material and give a nice impression, just like the rest of the interior. Instrument panel is without damage and typical age wear. The steering wheel, buttons and controls are described as being in good condition and the roof very good. The seller informs that a new solution for the speedometer has been installed. Parts are fitted for electronic sensor on drive shaft.
Engine is described as being in very good condition. The seller informs that the engine light can sometimes light up, but that it goes out for a while if the battery is disconnected. Troubleshooting states fault code 71, EGR system, which should be fixed.
Service history
The owner has serviced the car himself. The clutch was changed in 2024 at Toyota in Uppsala and a new original was fitted instead of the previous sintered clutch. However, the sintered coupling is included with the car. There are various receipts and inspection reports that come with the car. Dekra documents from Germany are available. A quantity of MR2 literature is also included. Last inspection was carried out on 2023-10-16.
