1992 Porsche 968 Trackday
Porsche is a very recognized name in racing circles and probably has more wins under its belt than any other manufacturer. Rebuilding existing cars into trackday/racing cars is common, and the 968 model in particular is one of the more affordable, yet well-performing models to do it on. Thanks to its front engine and transaxle, it's an incredibly well-balanced and easy-to-drive model compared to big brother the 911 and is still a very common sight at trackdays all over the world!
This is a 1992 model that was imported to Sweden already in 1998 and has been competed in both PCSR (Porsche Club Sverige Racing) and Time Attack. The car is street registered and of course approved with the cage installed by well known Peter Sandén who also did other upgrades on the car. The car should be regarded as a street-approved trackday car with a vehicle registration book that can also be driven to the ice cream kiosk with the exception that no original parts are included and also because the car has been upgraded with i.a. body parts in fiberglass, welded cage and gutted. The seller says that the car weighs only about 1250kg with a full tank + driver thanks to the modifications.

Exterior: The car has been upgraded with various body parts in fiberglass and although it is well maintained, received new windows and some parts also received new paint, it is a car that has been used in racing and there are traces of it and that the fitment is as known not as good as original. But may still be considered in good condition for the car type and area of use. For more info on exact condition see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comment field!
Interior: The interior is cleared for lower weight and safety and is mostly sheet metal except for Spar cost seats, Sable funnel, snap-off hub and dashboard For more info on exact condition see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comment field!
Mechanics: The car is well looked after and well maintained and there is a lot of documentation from the conversion, receipts and car books. The car has also been completely serviced including a timing belt change in February 2023. The car was last inspected in 2019/07 and is currently uninspected. The seller says that the only thing that should need to be done before the inspection is the removal of tinting on the lights. The car should also get a wheel alignment as the chassis has recently been assembled. Please see all the photos in the album for more info.
Summary
Regardless of whether you are a beginner or a skilled amateur, this is a fantastic object for someone who wants to ride a lot of track quickly, safely and with relatively low costs. A very popular model with all the right upgrades which, also thanks to the fine history, should hold its value well into the future.
