1981 Porsche 911 SC Backdate
Alexander
Stockholm
Basic Information & Background
The Porsche 911 SC was manufactured between 1978 - 1983 and had many upgrades compared to previous generations of 911 models. This is a 1981 model year with the 204hp 3.0L engine which gave great speed resources and a wonderful classic boxer sound! It is a Swedish-sold car with a fine ownership history and has recently been "backdate" converted to an older F-model. The combination of the modern generation but with the more classic look gives the best of both worlds! A classic Porsche model that fits just as well at the car meeting as on the road.
Equipment
Recently rebuilt to "F" look and freshly painted in Porsche's Metallic Silver. Fuchs aluminum rims are fitted with brand new Pirelli P6000 tires, updated Porsche 964 seats in black leather and a wooden steering wheel from the previous H models. The 3.0L aluminum engine of 204hp is original and gone through. The car can easily be restored to the original SC in the future if desired! The car has also received a lighter chassis treatment.
Condition
Exterior: Newly painted in Porsche's Metallic Silver with rust free body. On the whole, the car is in fantastic condition with new rubber moldings, new decorative moldings, new bumpers, turn signals, brakes and much more.
Interior. Really nice original interior in black with complete and clean floor mat, instrument panel and updated 964 seats in black leather, fresh headliner and a really nice steering wheel in wood. Instrument panel and meter are original and in a fresh condition with a lovely patina!
Mechanically. The original 3.0L engine has been overhauled and mechanically in top condition. The car is built to be a "driver" and is driven often and hard if desired! New brakes all around with newly renovated original brake calipers. New shock absorbers, reviewed and updated gearbox with clearer gearshift.
Service history
There is no service book, but as the documentation shows, the car is very well taken care of with regular maintenance! The car was inspected in March 2022.
Summary
A Swedish-sold classic sports car that is built to be driven. Very well modified / rebuilt and ready to run. A car that can withstand being shown at car shows and thrives very well on the road. The market for these objects has risen steadily and we see no evidence that the trend for fine objects will stagnate. An opportunity to acquire a fantastic and classic Porsche that longs to spend a lot of time on the road!
