Basic information and history
One of Europe's most succesful cars on tarmac in the FIA European Historic Rally Championship. This 1971 Porsche RSR Tribute is very difficult to describe in words and can hardly be done justice in an ad! The car has won gold in the previously mentioned class in 2012, 2013 and 2015 and has been owned for a long time by the current owner. The car is built on a 1971 911S and built according to regulations FIA 3053 up to 1975 and is still street legal. Engine is built by well known Rugen in Germany and nothing has been spared whilst building this machine. Despite the fact that the car is well used and has won several major competitions, the condition is absolutely fantastic.
The car comes with two previous technical passes, FIA Rally pass, Swedish papers and four folders with parts and service invoices and historical documentation. Current owner has carefully documented all settings to optimize handling and power.
Equipment and technical information
The exterior features, among other things, RSR-style front and rear, wide rear fenders, quick-release for the hood, whale-tail spoiler, kill switches and smoothed doors for lower air resistance.
The interior is emptied and fitted with a full cage, Alcantara-covered steering wheel from Sparco, seats from Sparco, model PRO ADV and custom-built flocked instrument panel with buttons and switches for all functions. Aluminium mat on the driver's floor and as a footrest for passengers. Fire extinguishers are mounted under the driver's seat and the car is also equipped with an extinguishing system from OMP. For the rally, a Monit G+ GPS rally computer is also installed. On the passenger seat there is a lamp for reading maps. Door sides are of course lightened with leather straps for opening.
The engine should be able to qualify as one of the seven wonders of the world by UNESCO. Built by Rugen, one of the absolute best engine builders of Porsche engines. The block is a 930 3-liter block that has been upgraded with, among other things, Bosch Kugel Fischer injection, high-rise air inlets trumpets with ITG filters, dual Bosch ignition, mechanical injection pump and front wing-mounted oil cooler. Engine power today is approx. 330hp and gears are managed by a magnesium five-speed 915 box. The traction is handled by Tractivi diff 49/70 ramp, 8/35 FD. Gearbox has ran barely 100km after review. The engine has only traveled 3300km since the last inspection. The car has of course been serviced, checked and reviewed after each competition.
Gearing on the transmission as follows:
- 12/35
- 17/35
- 21/32
- 23/28
- 28/28
Shock absorbers are from Riger in both front and rear. Short RSR rear wishbones. The rims measure 9 and 11 inches respectively and are dressed in Pirelli Corsa Classic slicks. The lips are anodized and the rims painted in satin black.
Condition
The condition of the car is consistently very good, despite the fact that it has entered several successful competitions over the years. Body and paint have some patina from competitions, but considering the area of use look very good. Look through all the pictures to form an idea of the condition, and questions can be asked in the question field.
Summary
An incredibly potent 911 RSR Tribute that is well built throughout and would fit very well in a racecar collection, as a trackday weapon, for historic racing or as the nation's absolute most brutal street legalal race car!
