- Race Prepped 1978 930 Turbo
- Maximum power 566rwhp at 1.25 bar
- Well built and refined over many years
An absolute beast built for fast track days despite its street registration. The tiles with felt mats. Door panels in carbon fiber, RS straps, MOMO seats with four-point belts from Sabelt, center console with display, Maxx ECU control system, lightweight polycarbonate windows, main switch and starter panel, fiberglass reinforced body and more.
In terms of chassis, we find, among other things, infinitely adjustable anti-roll bars, struts between towers, hard polygraphite bushings, 911 RSR shock absorbers at the rear and Rennen 2 shock absorbers at the front.
Braking is handled by 965 turbo discs at the front with 993 Biturbo ok and 930 standard discs at the rear. Brake cooling is installed all around.
Engine-wise, the car was built in two stages, 2006 and 2008-2009. By 2006, the car had traveled 14,750 miles and the engine was blueprinted and fully renovated before more power was extracted. Today's engine output is achieved with, among other things, via MaxxTuning mapping for E85 with Maxx ECU control system, Magnus Perf Tech intercooler, GT-2 Evo cams, ported top, ARP bolts, weighted pistons, polished dual magnesium throttle from 964 and polished intake pipes and Switches SX700 turbo with adjustable charging pressure from the cabin. The above-mentioned parts are only a fraction of everything the car is made of. The construction is consistently serious and constantly balanced for better lap times. The last benching gave 566hp at the rear wheels. After a test drive on the street, the sachs clutch, which was approved for 850nm, started to slip a little, but then a new Tilton clutch was fitted, which had no problems with the power.
Condition
Overall good condition considering the area of use. Smaller marks can of course be found all around the car. However, without any damage to the bodywork. The paintwork is in good condition and there are no marks on moldings or emblems. The rims are without damage. Brakes are described as being in good condition by the current owner. Engine as well. Well cared for and no leaks noted from box, drivetrain or engine. The interior of the car is in good racing condition. Empty of unnecessary material for the lowest possible weight.
Last inspection took place on 2021.08.31.
Summary
Already in its original version, the Porsche 930 Turbo is a sharp car on the track, and in this version, a bad thing! Nothing for the faint of heart.
