2004 Mercedes-Benz G400 (KORT)
Mercedes began building the Geländewagen models for civilian use as early as 1979.
The basic recipe is the same and not much has changed over time. The car still uses
a "ladderframe" construction with the body attached. Four-wheel drive with high &
low gear and 3 connectable diff locks. Stiff shoulders both front and rear for
maximum flex. The cars were built in long and short versions with different engine
options. This model is the large V8 diesel with twin turbos that pumps out 250 HP
and 560 NW. The car was sold new in Germany and imported to Sweden in 2011. The car
was inspected 2021-09-17.
