Condition

The general condition of the body is described as okay and without rust or dents. The car has been driven in warm weather in the USA and therefore has no rust. However, there are some signs of hot weather, including dryness in the surface material of the hat shelf. The paint is described as looking good. There are various notes, including dull headlights, small dents on the rear bumper, cracked glass for the rear center brake light, repaired scratch on the right rear fender, various small marks around the doors and various stone chips and traces of use all around. Despite some remarks, the car gives a good overall impression. The rims have various surface wear and the tire pattern measures approx. 5-6mm.

The interior is described as intact without damage and that it could be very nice with a recond. Steering wheel is slightly worn on the surface. The chairs with usual wear and tear from stepping in and out. Leather on door panel on driver's door looks like it's starting to come off a bit. Buttons and instrument panel with light surface wear. Navigation does not work as there is no Swedish disc in the car. The radio is out of order.

The engine is described as running well, but the car test indicated that it is damp underneath. The automatic transmission works as it should without any complaints or noises. The brakes had no complaints at the last inspection. The seller informs that when driving over a speed bump, the ABC light comes on but goes out shortly afterwards. The shock absorbers were impacted at the 2022 inspection but have been fixed and it is possible that a fault code needs to be reset by the workshop to remove the ABC light.

Service history

The car comes without a service book and therefore has an unclear service history. During inspection in 2022, the car had an impact on bad tires and insufficient front damping, which has been fixed. During the inspection on 06/25/2024, two remarks were made, one on the light image and the other on moisture underneath, even though the car was approved.

Summary

Good entry-level car for those who want to try riding the legendary SL 500 during the summer!
