Basic information and History

There is hardly anyone who does not recognize the wooden sides and silhouette of the world's first real luxury SUV - the Jeep Wagoneer. The car which, along with the Range Rover, was the first to combine off-road capabilities and everyday luxury in a completely new way. And because of that, it has become a real style icon.

This is a lovely "used" example from 1988 with the well-known V8 engine. It's still a daily driver and everything works as it should. A lot of work has been done to enable daily use, but some remain if you want it in top condition.

The seller states that the car has had three previous owners and it has recently lived its life in the ski resort and mountains of Åre, Sweden where it has become a well-known feature among all the locals and also the subject in quite a few photo shoots.

Original wheels and extra lights are fitted. Inside, the seller has installed a newer stereo.

Exterior:
The car was resprayed in its original blue color 5 years ago. The paintwork is in good but not perfect condition, but the seller states that there are stone chips and minor rust. The chrome is in good but not perfect condition. During the respray, the wooden sides were also replaced.

The body is straight with no dents.

The car has fared well from rust, which is otherwise a common problem with these cars. However the seller states that there is a little rust, especially around the wheel arches and underneath, but nothing serious to comment on. Please see photos for more information.

All glasswork is described as being in good condition, as are the lighting.

Interior:
The interior is in use and somewhat worn condition. The seats show some wear and there is a tear on the driver's seat. The dashboard is in good condition. Above the back seat, the roofliner has come loose, which is common on these cars and relatively easy to fix.

Mechanical:
Mechanically and electrically, the car works as it should. The seller states no leaks or defects. The brakes and tires are in good condition and the car sits well on the road.

The car was serviced and inspected by a local mechanic in July 2022 and has since been used very sparingly. The original service book is not available.

The Jeep Grand Wagoneer is something as unique as a car that has no enemies. Everyone loves it. We think this is an inspiring car with lots of potential. You can choose to either drive it as it is, with the unique functionality of a classic enthusiast's car with all-weather performance. Or you have an excellent starting point for a renovation project.
