MrTL
Stockholm
Basic information and History
The Honda NS400R is a two-stroke, three-cylinder motorcycle that was produced by Honda for only 2 years between 1985-1986. The latter year was the only year with Rothmans livery!
Designed to compete in the 500cc Grand Prix racing class, it was part of a series of "NS" motorcycles manufactured by Honda, which included the NS125R and NS250R. The NS400R was known for its cutting-edge technology and performance for its time.

The motorcycle is powered by a liquid-cooled, two-stroke, 387cc V3 engine. It featured Honda's Automatic Torque Amplification Chamber (ATAC) system, which helped improve low-end torque and mid-range power delivery.
The chassis featured an aluminum frame with a sophisticated suspension setup, including an air-assisted front fork and a Pro-Link rear suspension.
The NS400R was equipped with dual front disc brakes for excellent stopping power.
The design was sporty and aggressive for its time, similar to the NS500 and NS750 GP machines. The bodywork and design were intended to evoke the appearance of a Grand Prix racing bike.

Performance: The NS400R was known for its high-revving engine and smooth handling, making it a popular choice among motorcycle enthusiasts who wanted a taste of Grand Prix-inspired performance on the road.
The NS400R was produced primarily for the Japanese and European markets and was not officially sold in North America.

This copy is believed to have been sold as new in Germany and has only had 5 previous owners in Sweden since it was imported on 2003-03-03.
Has sparingly driven approx. 1,300 km since 2014 according to inspection protocol.
