Basic information and history
Domestically sold Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner Retract from 1957. This model with a metal cab was only produced for three years, from 57 to 59. The car appears in Power Magazine in 1992 when the then owner received an award for his finely executed renovation. The car has also been featured in Classic Motor No. 4. According to the register, the car has had 6 owners over the years and the odometer reading is approx. 26200km.

Equipped with 4.8-liter V8 of approx. 215hp/400nm connected to a 3-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive.
Condition
The car is described by the owner as being in very good condition. Cheerful 50s colors matched with typical American Racing rims and white wall tires. The bodywork is free of serious scratches, damage and rust. The owner informs, however, that there is a small paint crack above one of the wheel arches, although barely visible. All windows were replaced during the renovation in 1992 and are today as new. Chrome, moldings and lamp glass in top condition. The rims are undamaged but the right rear tire has marks in the white wall due to pavement, otherwise the tires are almost new.
The interior is described as being in top condition. Seat surfaces are fine in the material without any damage. Inner ceiling in very good condition. Instrument panel, steering wheel, buttons and controls in good condition. Door sills and door panels as well. A stereo has been installed under the dashboard. All electronics in the car work as they should.
The engine is also described as being in top condition. The braking system is of the single-circuit type. Box and drivetrain in good condition with no noise or complaints. Mechanically, everything works as it should.
Service history
The oil has been changed every autumn, regardless of the mileage the car has driven during the summer months. Filter and oil have also been changed in the gearbox. The car was last inspected on 2016-06-09 with an odometer reading of 23105km.
