Basic information and History
Domestically sold Fiat Uno Turbo IE from 1987 with approx. 174370km on the odometer. The car has spent a large part of its time on Gotland and been parked for 12 years, but is finally out on the roads again! Meter reading can be guaranteed by the owner. This unusual little power rocket is an early attempt by Fiat to create a hot hatch, and in 1990 the Fiat Uno Turbo won "cheekiest car" by Teknikens Värld.
The car comes in honest used condition and has various remarks on the body, but the engine is in good condition with quiet and nice engine running and a good character over the entire register. The car comes with a large number of spare parts in 4 full moving boxes. There are, among other things, 3 cylinder heads, camshafts, drive shafts, various electronics, exterior plastic and some interior decoration.

Domestically sold Fiat Uno Turbo IE from 1987 in usable condition
- Quick GTI wagon that made other cars in the GTI segment move over
- Barely 840kg and over 100hp+!
Equipped with a 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an original output of approx. 105hp/150nm mated to a five-speed manual box. This example has had boost pressure increased, 044 fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator from Malapassi and an open dump valve. Power figures is probably some what more than original numbers. In addition to a light tune, the car has also received harder yellow KONI dampers and shorter springs.
Condition
The current owner describes that the body is in OK condition. However, there are defects but it gives an unrenovated and honest impression. There are door hinges and minor dents on doors. The left front fender has a dent at the top. Some renovations have been done on the car, including the spare wheel tray that was removed and the floor that was partially replaced by the previous owner. There are weld repairs on the strut towers. There are various places on the body that have rust damage of size 2x2cm, including hood, fenders, doors and around the windshield. The paintwork has been partially repaired on smaller areas but is generally perceived as good, considering the car type, mileage and year. The windows on the car are nice all around. A Turbo IE emblem is missing from the tailgate. The rims are in usable condition with various scuff marks and corrosion, but absolutely fine for their age! New tires have been fitted.
The interior is perceived as clean and pleasant, according to the current owner. Everything works as it should in the passenger compartment apart from the oil pressure gauge, the clock in the roof and the electric lift on the passenger side. The sports seats are in good condition, but the passenger seat is partially worn. No holes in the upholstery though. Minor scratches and wear on entry strips and plastic clips are missing on door panels. There is therefore some slack. This small fault is also found in the back seat. Instrument panel is in good condition. The inner ceiling has been reclad by previous owners and is today red. The work has not been carried out professionally. All buttons and controls work as they should, however the knobs and controls on the original radio are missing. There are small noises from the passenger compartment fan sometimes.
The condition of the engine is described as very well-functioning! Quiet and nice engine running with a nice register with clear character. Gear linkage is slightly worn but works on the car. This is a common fault on this model. All brakes have been tested and work fine without problems.

Service history
Recently performed standard service with oil, filter, etc. Timing belt replaced in 2021. Unfortunately, documentation of the work performed is missing, however the current owner is well acquainted with the person who performed the timing belt replacement. Since the timing belt change was carried out, the car has not run. There is simpler documentation of recently performed service. 2024-04-16 the car underwent an inspection with an approved result and without any remarks.
Summary
This is a real little time capsule from the 80's and oozes GTI wagon more than anything else! A real hot hatch for those who love low weight, a quick engine and a rear wheel in the air when you boost around the corners! This is a perfect rolling project and it would be great fun if it ended up with someone who slowly but surely continues with renovation and care taking. A future collector's classic, without a doubt!
