An icon of automotive history, the 1961 Chevrolet Corvette (C1) stands as a symbol of American sports car excellence. This particular model, No. 1502 of the 10,939 Corvettes built in 1961, was produced in October 1960. The Corvette is widely regarded as America's first true sports car. Initially introduced in 1953, the Corvette was originally powered by a modest inline-six engine, with the V8 becoming an optional upgrade starting in 1955.

The car is equipped with the more powerful 5.4-liter V8 from the C2 generation, featuring an Edelbrock intake manifold and a Holley 650 CFM 'double pumper' carburetor. The engine runs smoothly and delivers impressive power. The Muncie 4-speed manual gearbox adds to the sportiness, ensuring an engaging driving experience.
