BMW Z3, the first non-British car choice for one of the world's most famous spy characters, James Bond. This happened in 1995 in the movie Golden Eye. Bond fans howled in anger at the choice of vehicle, while BMW sold all Z3s it made the following year. The film sold tickets for over 350 million dollars and the success was a fact.

This Z3 from 1997 comes with a 2.8-liter straight six at 192hp/275nm connected to a 5-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. The car was imported back in 1998 from Germany and the previous owner had the car until 2021. The current owner bought the car for its reliability and great engine. The combination of arctic silver with the tanin red interior is perfect.
Today the car has driven approx. 129,600 km and is a perfect youngtimer for the collection!

Condition
Exterior condition of the car is good. The front window, which is still the one from the factory, has stone chips and looks slightly scratched. There is a small spot of surface rust on the left rear wheel housing, otherwise rust free. The seller also informs that the paintwork has some minor damage, but nothing beyond normal wear and tear. Emblems and moldings show their age. The rims have chippings and marks on the front right and rear left ones. Pattern depth on the tires is approx. 6 mm. Head- and break lights works as intended and looks good for its age.
Interior condition looks good. The leather seats are intact and seem to be free from age cracks or hard wear and tear. There are some marks on the driver's seat though. Gear lever and adjuster have held up well from wear and tear over the years. Door sides have marks in place from entry and exit. Original wooden interior for the center console is included with the car.
Mechanically, the car is described as working perfectly without any noise or clunking from the engine and gearbox. Brakes are also described as being in good condition. Under the hood there is the usual dirt but no signs of rust or leaks. Underneath, the car is nice and free of rust. The left rear mirror does not work via a buttons and needs to be adjusted by hand.

Last service was performed in 2021 with oil change and painting of brake calipers. Services has been carried out by the current owner since purchase, 2021. Previous service records are available. The car was last inspected/MOT’d on 2023-09-07.
