Basic information and background
One of BMW's most legendary and rare bikes and a real "unicorn" for those in the know. Power in abundance and a completely pared-down philosophy compared to the brand's more comfort-focused Adventure models.
This is a Swedish-sold HP2 in very good original condition and one of only 30 registered in Sweden today. A total of 5 owners including dealers.
BMW only produced 2900 HP2s during 2005-2008 as a bet to target the slightly more "hardcore" offroad enthusiasts who found their proven GS too big and bulky. At the same time, being able to give the arch-rival KTM a match on the dirt road was clearly an appealing thought. There are even records of factory-sponsored riders fielding relatively standard HP2s in then-editions of the ultra-tough Enduro races Red Bull Romaniacs and Ertzberg Enduro, with good results.

Summary
This is something as rare as a Swedish-sold HP2. This was an exclusive model when it was launched and is today a rare sight on the market. In collector circles, even well-used examples of these motorcycles command great value. This particular example is in very good condition and has a fully documented history. It can be used both for what it is intended to do, clipping along special stages on gravel at high speed, or taking its place in a collection with the understanding that it is one of the very few examples left.
