Basic information and History
BMW made a real impression in the touring/naked market with the launch of the F800R model when it targeted the middle segment which only offered 600 cubic meters from the competitors. Here, BMW had really done its homework and offered a machine with a larger cubic capacity with better torque from low revs but still the same agility as the mid-range engines offered. The motoring journalists loved the F800R as it was well suited for city driving but also had the feel of a sports bike from the rev-loving parallel twin engine. BMW are masters at conveying quality right through their motorcycle models, which usually results in a good resale value on the used market
