BMW 540i Touring Automatic - Imported from Germany to Sweden in 2023
A unique opportunity to own a rare BMW 540i Touring with an automatic transmission. This car has had only one owner in Sweden and a total of three owners, one of whom has a specimen displayed in a museum. This is one of only four 540i Touring models with the exclusive High-Line M-Sport Touring configuration produced in Dingolfing.

Condition
The car is in incredibly good condition and gives a very positive overall impression, despite minor blemishes typical for a 20-year-old vehicle. It has been well taken care of, and the entire body was repainted by a reputable paint shop in Germany in 2016. The work was done meticulously, and previous owners have confirmed that the whole car was disassembled for this.
There is minimal rust at the front fender edges and on "hidden" areas of the tailgate, but it is very minor. There are a few stone chips on the front bumper and hood, but no significant scratches or paint loss. All windows are in good condition; the windshield was replaced 2-3 years ago but unfortunately has a small stone chip on the passenger side during my ownership.
The wheels have small scuff marks on the edges, and the all-season tires mounted on the car are in okay condition but not suitable for winter conditions. The interior is described as very nice, with the headliner in top condition and nothing to criticize. The steering wheel shows some wear on the brown/orange parts, but otherwise, everything is in very good condition.
An Android CarPlay stereo (Xtrons) is installed, but the original stereo is still available. The engine is described as very nice, and both the transmission and drivetrain are in good condition. The engine was replaced at BMW in Germany and has currently covered 95,000 km. The front brakes were replaced during week 38, and the rear brakes are also in good condition, having been replaced before I imported the car in 2023.
The car was inspected on September 18, 2024, and previous inspection reports are available.
Service History
The current owner has performed a service during the fall/winter of 2023. All work has been carried out in a serious and proper manner, including oil change, filter replacement, and air filter replacement.
There are service records from when the car left the factory, as well as receipts from the previous owner for all completed repairs. However, I have no information about the service before the previous owner. The current owner has also performed a minor oil service themselves during the fall/winter of 2023.
