Basic Information and History

Mercedes-Benz 190 D with 310,065 km on the odometer. Imported from Germany to Sweden in 2013. Two previous owners; the car has always been in the family and is an inheritance.

The history is as follows: The car was initially owned by the current owner’s ex-husband's grandfather in Germany, then by the ex-husband after it was imported to Sweden in 2013. The current owner is listed as the third owner on paper but has been driving the car since 2013. After the separation, the car was formally transferred to the current owner.

The car has always been serviced and repaired by knowledgeable hands. During its time in Germany and until 2013, the car was maintained by the ex-husband, who ran an auto repair shop in both Germany and Sweden. After the separation, the current owner has continued to take responsibility for maintenance and repairs, with complete documentation available. Between 1992 and 2013, the car was used exclusively as a vacation car for trips to Italy once a year. When not in use, it was stored in a garage, covered with blankets. The car is well-maintained and in excellent condition, with a meticulous history that guarantees its fine condition and well-preserved charm.

Condition

Body and Exterior

According to the seller, the body is rust-free and in good condition, without significant dents or scratches. In 2021, the right front wing was replaced and repainted. The paint is in good condition with only a small rust spot (about 1 mm) on the trunk lid. There are several stone chips that need to be filled in (see pictures). The laminating on the front bumper has come off on the right side. The windshield has a repaired stone chip from 2019. Chrome details, trims, and headlamp glasses are in excellent condition. The wheel arches are also in good condition. The winter tires installed are nearing the end of their usable life and should be replaced for the next season.

Interior

The interior is in excellent condition, with no damage to the seats, dashboard, or headliner. The steering wheel, controls, and buttons are well-preserved, except for a button for the heater adjustment that lacks backlighting.

Functions

The electronic sunroof is not functioning, and no diagnostics have been done. The rear window heater is not working.

Engine and Mechanics

The engine is in good condition with no issues. Key replacements and repairs include:

  1. The alternator was replaced in 2021.
  2. The rear muffler was replaced in 2023.
  3. In October 2024, extensive engine work was performed, including the replacement of the cylinder head gasket, manifold gasket, intake gasket, chain tensioner, head bolts, valve cover gasket, valve seal kit, chain, and chain link.

Transmission and Drivetrain

Both the transmission and drivetrain are in good condition without any issues.

Brakes

In 2022, two brake discs and four brake pads on the rear axle were replaced.

A brake pipe was replaced in 2024.

Service History

The car was last serviced in October 2024 by Sörby Autocenter AB: oil filter (Mahle and Corteco), engine oil (Castrol GTX Ultraclean 10W-40), fuel filter, and air filter replaced. The service book is correctly filled out.

The car was previously maintained by the current owner’s ex-husband, who ran an auto repair shop in both Germany and Sweden. Since 2022, all receipts and repair records have been kept, as the car has been maintained by a different workshop.

The car was last inspected in October 2024, and earlier inspection reports are available.
