The car has also been modified with elegant Alpina A4s fender flares and a sharper camshaft from Dr. Schrick, giving it a sportier character and genuine driving pleasure. The chassis is adapted for sportier driving, making this 2002 TII an excellent choice for both enthusiasts and collectors.
Condition
The car is in usable condition, with minor paint damage and a dent on the lower part of the trunk lid. Alpina A4s fender flares are installed. There are signs of previous rust repairs on the sills, but no major rust issues according to the vehicle inspection. Minor rust is present in the rear wheel arches, along with some rust bubbles on the body.
- Paint: Repainted in the 80s-90s, showing signs of age. It looks acceptable from a distance, but the surface has small bubbles on the hood, roof, and trunk.
- Glass and Chrome: The glass around the car is in good condition with minor signs of wear. Chrome and trims are in usable condition with wear, but there are no damages to the wheels.
- Tires: Tires are in good condition, newly mounted in 2023 with between 7 and 8 mm tread depth all around.
- Interior: The interior is in usable condition, showing signs of use but looking decent. The driver's seat has a loose thread in the cushion, and the passenger seat has worn fabric. The headliner is a bit dirty with a small tear above the rear seat. The older sports steering wheel is in usable condition, with functioning buttons for the fuel pump and electric fan, as well as a main power switch.

The current owner has changed the oil in the engine, gearbox, and rear axle during the winter of 2023/2024, as well as bled the brake system. The coolant has also been replaced. The latest inspection was conducted on November 10, 2023.
Summary
The BMW 2002 Tii was a true star in its time, with its mechanical fuel injection delivering a remarkable 130 hp from the factory—an achievement few cars could match. This car has now been modified with a tuning camshaft from Dr. Schrick, which makes the engine feel strong even at low revs.
The model was also equipped with stronger shock absorbers, larger brakes, and more robust anti-roll bars in the front. The rear suspension has been upgraded with stiffer control arms and an anti-roll bar, contributing to impressive stability. The chassis has been lightly modified for even better handling, allowing the car to hug the road wonderfully without feeling harsh.
Driving this car is an experience in itself—you quickly forget you are in a 50-year-old vehicle. It's fascinating to see how well these cars performed in the early to mid-70s.
The car has fared well against rust and major damage but has been adapted to the ideals of the 80s, with the battery relocated to the trunk and Alpina A4 flared wheel arches. It is painted in a color that reflects the trends of the time, featuring yellow main headlights and cross-spoke wheels that truly make it unique. A time machine with fantastic driving pleasure!
