2009 Porsche 997.2 C2S Manuell

Jacob1
Stockholm

The seller may offer financing via cardealer.

Basic Information and History

Well cared for 997 Gen 2 in rare and desirable spec with both manual 6-speed gearbox and C2S version with 385 horsepower.

Previous owners have carefully updated the car, inspired by the sought-after GTS and Sport Classic models. The gear linkage has been taken from the GT3 with a short-shift kit and the PASM has been replaced with adjustable Öhlins Road & Track dampers which have done wonders for how the car sits on the road.

The exhaust system is from Akrapovic and of the same model found on the GTS model, and on the engine cover there is now a Porsche OEM "Ducktail" from Sport Classic. A very rare accessory.

Everything can of course be restored to the original and all original parts (Exhaust, PASM, and engine cover) are still available and included with purchase.

Equipment and Options

Extended leather upholstery with black Alcantara roof. Sports seats with memory and electric adjustment, red seat belts for a nice contrast against the black leather.

BOSE audio system with navigation and SIM connection to the phone, no Bluetooth.

Electric sunroof and Xenon lights

Condition

Exterior:
The seller states that the body overall is in very good condition. There are a handful of stone chips and some minor scratches but nothing to complain about considering the age of the car. Minor crack in the windshield by the rearview mirror.

There are a couple of minor scratches on the rims, but no major damage. The tires (Michelin Pliot Sport 4S) are as good as new with very few miles.

Interior:
The car is in very good condition with minimal wear and tear. Some signs of use can be seen on the lumbar support of the driver's seat.

Mechanics:
Everything on the car works as it should. The seller has nothing to complain about.
Despite the Öhlins chassis and other performance upgrades, this car has never been used for track driving.

Service History

The car comes with a lot of documentation and has been newly serviced. In recent years, it has only been taken care of by recognized specialists such as Levin Racing and EB Auto in Uppsala.

Last spring, a knocking noise was discovered by the current owner and after troubleshooting this resulted in an engine renovation for around 180,000 sek. The job was carried out by Porsche specialists and is fully specified and documented with a warranty of 15000 kilometers. The water pump and pulley were also replaced. The reason for the renovation was traced to a faulty oil sensor. The car thus has a completely refurbished original engine and is considered to be mechanically in mint condition. Only run-in after renovation.

Summary

Considered by many to be the last analog 911, the Gen 2 997 C2S is a perfect blend of a classic sportscar, and at the same time a car you can use every day. It is not as extreme as a GT3 but still hangs with significantly more focused sportscars should you be in the mood. This example also has the very rare manual gearbox option, which further guarantees another layer of driver involvement. A modern classic that continues to increase in value.
