Basic Information & Background

Functional design at its best! No wonder the design of the G-Class was left unchanged for so long. The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is a car that generates happy looks and comments in all contexts and, likewise, this model has also been used in military use with great success. This is a Steyr-Puch 230 GE that was built in collaboration with the Austrian company for the Swiss Army in 1996 and then underwent a major renovation in 2018-2019. The car was built in both SWB and LWB versions, but what is unique about the LWB is that it was available with an automatic transmission. The Steyr-Puch model was built without any kind of luxury and comfort equipment, but during the renovation this has been upgraded and is a perfect combination of retro feeling but with some modern comforts and design.

The seller has owned the car since 2020 when he imported it and has driven it very sparingly over the years and has always kept it in a warm garage when not in use. The odometer reads 57,000 km but cannot be guaranteed. The car was inspected in 2022/05 without any comments and the last service was in January 2023. The car is currently registered as a truck and also has deductible VAT. As can be seen in the pictures, all the seats remain and can easily be registered as a passenger car.


Condition

Exterior: The seller says that the car is still in very nice newly restored condition with a straight and nice original body with no rust, no damage and minimal minor marks from the sparing use. The car was fully painted in 2019 and looks just as nice today. The aluminum rims are in very good condition and contemporary for the model. Interior: The updated interior upholstery is apparently in very good condition and without major complaints. The dashboard and center console have some signs of age but still present themselves very well, The controls are apparently original controls in very good condition. All gauges and other functions in the interior are in a very nice and working condition and the number currently stands. of approx. 57,000km but cannot be guaranteed by the seller. There is also a newly installed Kenwood stereo with new cables, front/rear speakers, amplifier and subwoofer. Mechanics: The seller informs that the entire driveline including engine, gearbox and rear axle works flawlessly and runs great on the road. The straight 4 was used in many Mercdedes models and is recognized for its fine running and reliability. The last service was carried out in January 2023 and was inspected without remarks in 2022/05.
