2002 Mercedes-Benz G 500

Basic Information & Background

We are proud to present this item, the military vehicle turned urban favourite, the Mercedes G 500 LWB. This is a W463 model with the facelift that came in 2000 and is a big favorite with everything from off-roaders, estate owners and city dwellers! The G 500 has had a big boost in recent years and has become very attractive on the market.

This copy was purchased by the current owner in 2015 and has been used extensively since then. The car is imported from the USA where the first owner in LA left it to his father who in turn took it to Sweden as moving goods. The car has only had 5 owners in total since new and has a clean history with guaranteed miles from the seller.

Apparently, the car has never been restored and is in a better working condition for the particular model, but it is undoubtedly in a solid and honest condition and can be driven exactly as it is for many years to come or if you choose to send it for a full paint job to then have an even finer object.

Condition

Exterior: As the pictures show, there are various minor marks on the paint and surface rust at certain exposed and known points. Can clearly be driven exactly as it is, alternatively a couple of minor fixes or give it a new full paint job to be in mint condition again. Straight and fine in the body otherwise without any registered accidents or renovations on the car. The original rims are in very good condition and the tires were also recently replaced. Interior. The original black leather interior is in very good condition for its age and mileage. There are traces of use and age/patina but can be considered to be in an honest and good condition with no damage/tears in the leather with relatively little traces of use, complete and fine inner ceiling and is of course smoke free. Mechanically: Mechanically the car is in good condition and the drivetrain works as it should.. The recognized M113 V8 engine runs fine and is vibration free and the 5-speed gearbox is silky smooth. The four-wheel drive and low gear/differentials work, there are no known mechanical faults apart from the wiper arm on the rear door. Service history

During the car's lifetime, it has been serviced by the few owners it has had, but the original service book is no longer available. However, previous service records are available and the car is delivered freshly serviced by MB Service. The last inspection was 2022/05 with no comments and the car is also delivered freshly inspected.

A recognized and sought-after model that will stand up very well in the future. Either you can give the car the love it deserves with a full paint job, or just turn the key and drive! Whatever you decide to do, it's an affordable and good item that deserves to be saved for the future.
