2000 Audi S6 Avant
Audi's second generation A6 was based on the C5 platform from Volkswagen and was first shown in March 1997 at the Geneva Motor Show. The car was introduced as a continued challenger to the Mercedes Benz E-Class and BMW's 5 Series. In 2000, the Audi A6 was one of ten cars on Car & Driver's "Ten Best" list. In 1999, Audi present the S6 on the market. Equipped with a 335hp/420nm 4.2-litre aluminum V8 connected to four-wheel drive and, in this case, 5-speed automatic transmission, it was undeniably sportier than its A6 sibling. 0-100 is completed in 5.7 seconds and a top speed (limited) to 250 km/h. The model also got better springs and shock absorbers, bigger brakes and different interior than its sibling A6.
