Basic information and History

Classic Mercedes models have received a big boost in recent times, and it is the 90s models that e.g. this CE model has undoubtedly been the most sought after due to the classic design language but also because it is a classic car with a wide range of uses. Proven technology, well built and in the context practical make these enthusiast cars you can really use. This is a 230 CE that was sold new in Sweden with only 2 former Mercedes enthusiasts as users. The car has only driven about 100 miles since 2013, due to the age of the owner at the time, it has been used very sparingly.

Equipment and Options

Condition

Exterior:
The seller says that the car has managed incredibly well despite being stored outside for the past few years. There is no rust that has been discovered on the car and there are also receipts for ongoing undercarriage treatments carried out over the years. The first owner "Director #1" installed a lowering kit and white indicators, but the car is otherwise completely original. There are occasional minor bumps/marks on the car, including the right front fender, which has a few minor scratches, but overall it presents itself well. The rear window has taken in moisture between the lamination, which is a common problem, and the wheels have clear coat slips, which is also common on these cars. Interior:
As can be seen in the pictures, the interior is in very good condition, this is also confirmed by the seller. The leather upholstery is intact and clean with minimal wear and, according to the info, all functions also work.

Mechanics:
The seller informs that the service book is missing, but receipts for service maintenance carried out over the years are available. The car runs well in both engine and drivetrain, but would benefit from a fine-tuning/major service to be 100% due to the sparing use in recent years. The car has only been started sporadically by the other user (director #2) and used very little. Before the last inspection, new Brembo discs and pads were fitted. Summary

A sought-after and very stylish coupé from one of Mercedes' best decades, a timeless design that only grows with the years. Fine Swedish-sold specimens do not grow on trees anymore and this item is perfect to either use as is, or as the basis for a minor run-through to become 100% and put away as a collector's item. Regardless of the area of use, it will offer lots of joy to future owners!
