1970 Lotus Europa S2

Basic information and history

Lotus Europa S2 from 1970, imported from England already in 1977. Over the years, the car has only had 5 previous users and various literature comes with the car. The car has undergone renovation and received, among other things, a reinforced chassis and more a powerful engine. Since the renovation, the car has not driven more than 2000 km. An excellent copy ready to hit the roads!

Equipped with a 2-liter engine from Renault 18 with an original output of approx. 105 hp. Engine has been tuned by installing a Renault 16 RTS cylinder head, twin Dellorto 40 carburettors, stainless extractor manifold, carbon fibre silencer and a tuned street cam from the famous 'Professor'. This willing machine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Condition

The general condition of the body is described as very good. Renovation has been carried out on the body with, among other things, new paint and reinforced fender edges. With its fiberglass body, the car is of course rust-free. There are some stone chips on the windshield and other normal wear and tear, but nothing conspicuously bad. Chrome, moldings and lamp glass in good condition. The rims are undamaged and the condition of the tires is described as good. The chassis has been completely renovated and reinforced. It has been both blasted and galvanized. Four-link rear axle. All wearing parts such as shock absorbers etc. have been replaced.

The interior has been reclad and renovated to very fine condition. The chairs have minor wear and tear but are free of damage. Door panels and door sills in good condition. Wooden details, instrumentation and controls in fine condition. The steering wheel is new. The interior roof is new and in good condition. Electronically, everything in the passenger compartment works as it should.

Engine, as previously mentioned is in good condition with various upgrades. Gearbox and drivetrain are described as being in good condition. Shifters and cables have been replaced with new ones. Coupling is hydraulic type. New coil overs have also been installed. Brakes have been refurbished. Mechanically, everything works as it should.

The car has had a service done this year and is ready to be picked out! Last inspection took place in 2017.
