2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Basic information and history

American icon, Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor from 2011. The car has had two owners in the USA, first the officer and then a private individual who bought the car in 2019. The current owner bought the car through a company in Holland that specializes in this particular model. Today the car has driven approx. 279287km and is in good condition, given the mileage and area of use. It was on duty in Nevada and is thus completely rust-free. It has received an anti-rust treatment here in Sweden to cope with winter weather.

Equipped with 4.6-liter V8 of approx. 250 hp connected to a four-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive.

Equipment and options

Equipped with, among other things, powered window lifts, powered mirrors, electrically adjustable seat in the driver's seat, cruise control and A/C. Of former police equipment, search lights, telephone, police lights in the rear window and a specially built box in luggage for police weapons remain. The old antennas from the time as a police vehicle are still mounted.

Condition

Current owners describe that the body is in very good condition. There are a few small dents on the car from life as a police car, but very few considering how hot it can get in traffic. Normal usage and wear is present, including some stone chips and minor dents, scratches and stains. However, the overall impression is very good. The car has previously been repainted. Underneath, the car is in very good condition and, as previously mentioned, has been rustproofed. Glass panes in normal condition. The headlights are brand new and very nice. The rims are in good condition and the tires are brand new from this year.

The interior is in generally good condition except for the driver's seat which is worn. The material is damaged and taped. Otherwise normal wear on step and door sides. The steering wheel is worn, but the buttons and controls are in OK condition. There are stains and a recond can certainly bring the interior to a nicer condition. There are various holes in the panel from previously installed equipment. Central locking does not work.

The current owner describes that the engine feels very good despite the car being driven as a police car. The cam chain has been replaced at a European workshop that specializes in Crown Vic's. Gearbox and drivetrain are without noise or fuss. Brakes are described as being in normal condition and without remarks during inspection. Mechanically, everything works as intended.

Service history

The current owner has no history from the US, but as previously mentioned, the timing chain was replaced in 2022. Since then, the car has basically not been used. Inspection took place on 2024-04-19 without remark.

An American icon that can be summed up as being in surprisingly good condition considering the mileage and area of use. Clearly, officers take good care of their cars they use during duty.
