2015 Woodland Restomod Grand Wagoneer #002 Euro 6

Krick
Stockholm
Unique opportunity to acquire a completely unique car. So far only two built in the whole world. So what is the background to this build? Well, are you just like us in love with timeless, beautiful older cars but still want some type of comfort? Tired of troublesome carburetors, hidden rust and limitless fuel consumption. Maybe you also get bored too quickly with modern SUVs which, despite technology and comfort, completely lack soul and heart? Some might argue…
Then Woodland Wagoneer is the car for you.

Here they have combined the best of both worlds, starting from the proven, competent and modern Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (JK, 2007-2018), combining it with an outer shell from the iconic Jeep Grand Wagoneer. This design was unchanged from 1963 until 1991 and was made immortal through an innumerable number of films from the 80s and 90s.

This particular car is basically a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X Edition, Euro 6 with Command-Trac, Trac-Lok Limited-Slip Rear Axle and the strong 3.6-liter petrol Pentastar V6 of 284 hp with a 5-speed automatic, giving the car a fuel consumption of 0.85 l / mil on country roads.

Before construction started, the base car was thoroughly function tested and underwent a major mechanical service. After that, the 8-month rebuilding began, which began with the Wrangler body being removed while the chassis, base plate, torpedo wall, instrumentation and the entire engine package were kept intact. This means that the car is still, technically, 100% untouched original (2015 Jeep Wrangler). This is to enable easy service and maintenance.

After this, the Grand Wagoneer donor car was prepared for the outer shell and body. As the wheelbase differs by 120mm, the Grand Wagoneer body was extended  to the corresponding length in the D-pillar to achieve perfect proportions and overhangs. As a bonus, the luggage space also became larger. All cosmetic details such as bumpers, moldings, lamps, rear-view mirrors and roof racks were either renovated and chrome-plated or re-ordered. Finally, newly made wooden sides were applied as well as a metallic Denim Blue paint that is experienced as midnight blue at night and sparkling blue during the day.

The interior is original Wrangler in black leather with fabric inserts. The door sides are designed to follow the shape of the instrument panel and these are upholstered in black leather. The rear seat is foldable and the luggage compartment holds a luggage shelf in Marine Teak Rubber (Yacht deck) for privacy. Under the shelf there is hidden storage for valuables and an original Alpine base box. If we look up ahead, we will find a number of upgrades. Standing out is a digital instrument cluster from CaRobotor where you can choose different dashboards depending on where you drive (Street, Offroad, Mud, Snow, etc.). In the middle we find a central unit from Stinger Off-Road with a large screen containing Apple CarPlay, Radio, reversing camera and lots of other things. All with a retained original look.

The electric windows are connected to the Wrangler's original buttons in the center console and from the driver's seat you also operate the rear window. All sensors have been transferred to the new body so all airbags are fully functional and the seats are equipped with ISOFIX.

On the roof there are double waterproof connectors to easily connect the roof rack with extra light or why not a roof tent with lighting and charging for mobile? These connectors are controlled from the passenger compartment via a wireless remote control that also activates the extra lights in the front. The car has an original, detachable towbar and with a B-card you can tow 960 kg. With extended certification on you license in Sweden, the maximum trailer weight is 2,000 kg.

The pictures show the aftermarket winter rims with almost new studded winter tires (2020). It also includes a set of original Wrangler rims with new summer tires (2022).

So what you get in this car is a classic timeless icon with the modern car's technology, driving characteristics, fuel consumption and safety.

This is the second Woodland Wagoneer car built by and it has now been on the road it for almost 4 months to thoroughly eliminate any teething issues and faults. The car is registered and inspected in as is and the next inspection is 2022-12-31. The car is delivered newly serviced.

The total construction cost for this car is close to SEK 1,500,000, ie significantly cheaper than a new, extremely common Range Rover.

The car can be shown by appointment, in Stockholm. Leave a comment on the auction to register interest.
