Basic information and history

German-imported BMW Z3 2.8i from 1999, which arrived in Sweden already in 2003. The car has today driven approx. 187,000km and meter reading can be guaranteed by the owner who has had the car since 2013. The car has been used sparingly in the last ten years and has driven just under 15,000km. According to information from the register, the car has had 8 owners, but how many of these are users versus dealers cannot be ascertained.

Equipped with a good-sounding straight six of 2.8 liters and approx. 193hp/280nm linked to a five-speed manual box and rear-wheel drive. 0-100km/h is achieved in under 7 seconds and top speed is stated at approx. 225km/h.

Condition

The general condition is described as good. The seller informs that there is a small dent on the tailgate as well as various normal wear such as stone chips and minor marks on the front and minor marks here and there. However, nothing glaringly bad considering the age and mileage. The paint has a good shine and the car is rust-free. In 2015, the car received a complete anti-rust treatment and there are several pictures from the work. The windshield was replaced in 2015 and the car has since driven approx. 10,000km. Chrome and moldings are in good condition, but the lamp lenses are slightly foggy and could benefit from a polish. The rims have normal wear and tear but are free of serious damage. The tires are from 2020 and measure approx. 7-8mm in pattern depth. There are original 17" rims that came with the older tires. The 17" rims have some damage on them.

The interior is described as being in OK condition. The red sports seats are in good condition and have survived tears and cracks. However, there is normal wear and tear on the chairs. The extended leather on the dashboard and around the center console is in good condition but has come off in front of the steering wheel. The protection around the storage area above the glove compartment is unfortunately gone. Steering wheel, button and controls in good condition. Door sills and door sides with normal wear. The soft top is in usable condition but the rear window is fogged. AC unfortunately does not work and has not been debugged either. The cab is of a semi-automatic type, but the electrical function does not work and should therefore be seen as fully manual.

Engine is described as being in good condition and always starts. Gearbox and drivetrain also in good condition. Brakes are described as being in OK condition. Mechanically, everything works as it should.

Service history

Owner informs that the car has received a basic service at Elektromekanu approximately every two years. There are service records from 2015 and 2017 and the car has since been driven approx. 7000 km. Service book is not available. Last inspection took place on 2023-08-29. There are 8 previous inspection reports and the only remarks that exist are on the function of lights.

Summary

A Bond car from the late 90s with a good overall impression and different interior design. With the big six, the driving pleasure is at its peak and the performance sufficient. Perfect summer car for those looking for something small and easy to maintain!
