Swedish-sold Alpina B10 V8 in very good condition with classic color combination.

The B10 was Alpina's answer to the BMW M5, but as the latter was more sport-oriented, Alpina chose, in its usual fashion, to focus on a more sophisticated experience but still with great speed resources.

The Alpina B10 has a V8, 4.6 liters that is based on BMW's machine that was in the 540i, but with less power and cylinder volume. With its 340 HP and large bottom turns, you never need to plan an overtake. 0-100 km/h is achieved in 6 sec, top speed 276 km/h. And it's on the highway that the B10 really comes into its own. Despite the large engine, the fuel consumption is rather low on the highway.

While the M5 only came with a manual gearbox, the Alpina B10 has a Switch-tronic automatic gearbox that allows you to shift manually on the steering wheel buttons, which gives the car a sportier character.

This car has production number 330, has a nice history and is fully documented.

The first owner used the car for about 100,000 kilometers after which it has been used sparingly by two collectors, the last owner has used it for pleasure trips during the summers.

This copy is sold without the option of navigation and screens, which today is an advantage as these do not age very well with its dated system.

Condition
Varnished and newly polished. Color Alpina Blue II with Alpina gold decor. There are some imperfections around, including on the hood, but nothing remarkable considering the age and mileage.

Very good condition inside.
Gray montana leather that has aged well with very little wear, wooden inlays and light roof give a sober and timeless impression. One display has a minor pixel error, which is very common on these models.


Mechanically, there is nothing to complain about and the car runs very well in the gearbox and engine.

Major maintenance includes newly replaced valve cover gasket, brand new radiator and most of the hoses replaced. Hydraulic pistons for the tailgate are brand new.
Extra good dust-free red brake pads fitted all around.
New rear brake discs.
Camshaft sensor replaced.
Strut strut installed which makes a big difference to road holding.
Cooling system flushed.
The injection system is cleaned.
Full service done in autumn 2022.

Summary
Unusual car based on the coveted E39 body. A slightly more sophisticated and discreet interpretation of the famous M5 but with similar speed resources. But, those with a little extra knowledge easily recognize an Alpina by the classic decor, the rims and not least the sound. Then the savings will be all the greater as this is a rare revelation on the roads. This is one of the few B10's sold in Sweden and also in very good condition and completely unscrewed. An enthusiast's car where the whole family can cross the continent both quickly and in maximum comfort.
